As we come towards the end of November and the festive season draws closer, I wanted to bring back a feature from the past called ‘Shop a Handmade Christmas’.
This gift guide will feature some of my favourite crafters, indie sellers and artisans to spread the message far and wide just how special and important handmade is.
After having Beauxoxo for years I know only too well how important it is to support handmade artists. I also know how important it is to order handmade creations as early as possible because sellers work so hard throughout the season to get orders delivered for Christmas.
Today I have the delight of writing about the incredibly beautiful and unique jewellery from Abbie Gaiger, a jewellery designer and maker, originally from Hampshire, UK.

Abbie graduated in 2016 with a BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design & Related Products from Birmingham School of Jewellery, with her graduate collection being awarded runner-up of the RBSA Gallery Prize for Innovation & Creativity.
Following a further year at the school as an Artist in Residence Abbie continues to be based in Birmingham where she develops her unique work.
What is truly striking about Abbie’s designs is the interest with maths and geometry.
Of her creations Abbie says:
my work draws on themes of geometry, symmetry and patterns found within mathematics, bringing together bold lines and graphic forms. I create fashion jewellery that combines hi-tech digital processes such as laser cutting with traditional metal skills like scoring and piercing, and I enjoy contrasting metal with unexpected new materials. Ultimately, my work aims to be statement-making and unconventional, while remaining wearable, playful and colourful.

How special would it be to own something as intricate as the above? I’ve never seen jewellery as unique!
How many of you adore Abbie Gaiger as much as me? What designs and are on your Christmas wishlist?
Whether you are looking for a treat for yourself or your loved ones, I’m certain you’ll find plenty of things to add to your wishlist from Abbie’s incredible designs.

I’d love to know some of your favourite places to buy beautiful handmade gifts. Please do let me know where you’ll be shopping this Christmas!
