I haven’t done a beauty review in just….forever! I kind of went off beauty for a while as I’m just so focused on taking my blog in a new direction but I do very much want to post the odd beauty review or two when I find something I really like.
So whilst meandering around the aisles of Boots the other day I stumbled across this funny little rubber contraption above. We all know how good body brushing is so lately there’s been a lot of buzz about facial brushes, whether it’s an ol’ fashioned handled brush or a fancy Clarisonic (yet to get on this band wagon, several years too late I know!). Well this little brush from Soap & Glory caught my eye and I thought I’d give it ago as for £4 it seemed a rather better deal than spending hundreds on the latter, it’s also pink which is a bonus….in my books, anyway ;).
What I do is place a small amount of cleanser into the middle of it and then in circle motions I massage it onto my skin. It makes your cleanser work so much better and provides great exfoliation but most importantly it’s extremely gentle too. It you’re using a foamy cleanser it will make it foam even more so you actually will find you don’t use as much cleanser. I use the comby bits for all over and the circle part at the top is great for more in depth facial massage such as perhaps the forehead or cheeks. It gives the skin a gorgeous glow and it’s really helping with some flaky skin I had from a recent eczema flare up. Additionally, it’s also so hygienic because nothing gets clogs up and everything washes away so easily.
So overall I am absolutely loving this little tool at the moment and I’m glad I found this little gem! Oh and the suction cap is great too so that you can store it easily on your sink or tiles and there’s no chance of misplacing it!
If you’re in the market for a facial brush of some kind but you’re on a budget, and have sensitive skin definitely consider trying this. I really, really love it and I can’t wait to have it now as part of my skin care routine.
Has anyone else tried this? If not, are you into facial brushing at all?
xoxo
it looks like it would hurt, are the bristles soft/rubbery? x
Ah this looks really good actually, I used to have a similar 'tool' that I bought in Hong Kong, and then switched to a Body Shop one a few years ago, but haven't face brushed in many a month now. May have to pick one up this weekend! xx
I've never tried face brushing! This looks like it could be painful haha, but I'm sure it feels much nicer when you use it! xo
Oooh no don't worry it doesn't hurt at all, the bristles are soft and rubbery just like the whole thing 🙂 xoxo
Hi sweet! Ooh yes the Body Shop have done one for years haven't they? I think you'll like this 🙂 xoxo
Don't worry this isn't painful in the slightest, it tickles if anything 🙂 xoxo
Amazing post.
