Review Of The Wintering Box by Leneth Witte The Spiritual Feminist and Sanne Giesen The Wild Roots Guide

Review Of The Wintering Box by Leneth Witte The Spiritual Feminist and Sanne Giesen The Wild Roots Guide

Enchanted one, what is your experience with Winter and Wintering? Do you find Winter a season of struggle and long for the warmer, sunnier days? Or do you sink into the surrender of a long Winter period?

Well, if like me, you struggle during this period of the year, what if Winter could feel like a nourishing, reflective and restorative time, instead of a dark and difficult season?

Enter your winter self-care and self-soothing toolkit: The Wintering Box by my darling friend and sister Leneth Witte from The Spiritual Feminist and Sanne Giesen of The Wild Roots Guide.

In this post, let us dig into this gorgeous box together and explore the theme of wintering.

What Is Wintering?

Wintering

n. The act of staying at a place throughout the winter. vb. (present participle of winter English)

I must admit there’s a nervousness I feel in my body when the dark nights draw in.

As soon as we leave Autumn for Winter, I feel consumed by the dark evenings and the chill that radiates through my bones.

Wintering in the UK can feel like agony for my mind, body and spirit living with Raynaud’s Disease and Scleroderma and in the last few years, I have often sought comfort in sunnier climates such as the U.A.E where one of my best friends lives.

However, slowly but surely, as we creep into January and I see a glimpse of the lighter evenings, it also reminds me that the light truly does come back, eventually. Slowly and gently, it reappears softly at the edges, reminding us of this gracious balance that we seek.

One of my greatest intentions for this season of Wintering is to sink deeply into the rest, surrender and reflection that the darkness of the season gives us, and to nourish the whimsy and light of life that illuminates with more vibrancy when we sit with the darkness of our emotional life with utmost honesty and intention.

To bring this forth, I am reminded of this poignant quote by Katherine May from her seminal book ‘Wintering: The Power Of Rest in Retreat in Hard Times’ that has been like a balm to my soul.

“We have seasons when we flourish and seasons when the leaves fall from us, revealing our bare bones. Given time, they grow again.”

― Katherine May, Wintering: The power of rest and retreat in difficult times

Inspired by this art of Wintering, my precious sister Leneth from the Netherlands has provided the world with a ‘wintering toolkit’ alongside Sanne, (another Dutch angel helping you to re-connect with nature) brimming with soul-nurturing treasures that are sustenance for the remainder of the long cold days.

Many of you will know my beloved friend Leneth from the chat we had on my blog here and from her collaboration with Honey Honey and her Rising Woman Flower Remedy Set.

In December we finally met (yes, we were internet friends!) and I was so fortunate to see this gorgeous The Wintering Box be put together.

The Wintering Box

Throughout my stay in a cold and damp Netherlands, The Wintering Box was so enthusiastically embracing to me mind, body and soul with all the things the season was throwing at me.

Bundled into this nurturing box, the concept of wintering is beautifully curated that comforts you throughout the dark and fallow times where we must retreat and repair ourselves.

Here’s how Leneth and Sanne describe this heart wintering offering:

Wintering Box: deep moments of self-care, reflection and inner expansion

Allow the darker months of Winter to inspire you to turn inwards, find stillness and celebrate all parts of you – the hidden, the raw, and perhaps the unexpected.

This box is filled with reflective practices, nourishing products and a lot of love! You can journey through all of the elements of the box at your own pace and revisit them as often as you like.

Your wintering box contains the following:

  • Your personal invitation to a sacred Wintering gathering (held on January 18th 2022)
  • A deeply restorative yoga practice
  • An immersive nature connection journey
  • A set of botanical ritual candles
  • A delicious grounding aura spray
  • And so much more

One of my favourite items in this gorgeous kit is the gorgeus, and calming stone Selenite that is wonderful to cleanse other stones.

In addition, Selenite, from the Greek word “selene” for “moon” is renowned for a peaceful, soothing energy drains that away negativity and clears blocks to healing. The perfect accompaniment to the Winter season.

I also so deeply cherished the opportunity to sit with the shadows of this season and explore these lessons through the accomanying journal prompts.

Throughout my stay in the Netherlands, I truly purged every single heavy thought that was swirling in my mind, and alongside the candles and soothing Chai Tea, the Wintering Box provided the perfect accompaniment to go deeply into my soul through the support of the rituals I created from the contents of the Wintering box.

white candles with dried flowers on in a brown box
a winter self care box with candles, journal book, white crystal and aura spray
black spray bottle with 'aura spray' text and a white selenite crystal
a chai tea teabag

I’m of course very biased, but I could not recommend Leneth more for her profound capacity for curating enchanted projects that truly nurture hold you in spaces to feel seen, held and nurtured.

After spending SUCH precious days with her last month in the Netherlands she truly is the embodiment of enchantment I seek and I love her so much very.

Coupled with Leneth’s capacity to hold nourishing safe spaces, Sanne’s profound wisdom from her work at The Wild Roots Guide has truly embodied her knowledge on wintering as a season of the soul, and what we can learn from nature about recovery and rest into this box.

Until then, as you wait for your box to be delivered, may you be comforted by these treasured words by Rilke on carving out an intentional cold season in your life:

“Tending my inner garden went splendidly this winter. Suddenly to be healed again and aware that the very ground of my being — my mind and spirit — was given time and space in which to go on growing; and there came from my heart a radiance I had not felt so strongly for a long time.”

R. M. Rilke On ‘Wintering’

Now I want to hear from you. Do you love the Winter period? Or do you struggle as I do?

I would love to hear your thoughts on Wintering, the contents of this box and all the other things related to this soothing season that brings with it a wise reflection on the necessity of rest.

Please leave me all your thoughts in the comments below and I can’t wait to continue the conversation there.

How Living a life of Meaning, Magic and Mischief blends into a wondrous enchanted life with Bella Luna Mystic

How Living a life of Meaning, Magic and Mischief blends into a wondrous enchanted life with Bella Luna Mystic

Can living a life of meaning, magic and mischief blend into the wondrous enchanted life I always seek? Well, to me, they are the most harmonious combination. To explain more, I’m so delighted and honoured to welcome Bella Luna to my blog today to discuss her spiritual path that also includes a Scientific background.

Bella Luna is a Spiritual Life Coach, Healer, and Multi-Passionate Mystic who I met through Esther De Charon De Saint Germain’s ‘Self Love Success Club’. I was instantly drawn to her soul-deep magical essence and was so delighted to see that our spiritual interests exist in a similar portal.

Bella’s ultimate dharma is to support cosmically inclined women, who lack purpose and are disenchanted with the world around them. As stated above, Bella’s mission is to bring meaning, mischief, and magic into our lives through tangible tools and intuitive insight.

Bella is a lover of all things magical and mystical. In addition, as well as a mystic, Bella also considers herself a scientist, and strongly disagrees with the notion that magic and science are mutually exclusive.

The message Bella wishes to illuminate the world with is, “make the journey as magical as the destination.” Through this, Bella believes in making the most of every single step of the adventure, instead of waiting for one day. Because one day is NOW!

This is such a juicy interview with stories of mystery and mischief, and magic that fuses so powerfully with a shared view from Bella’s scientific background about how being spiritual doesn’t mean rejecting modern science and medicine and that believing in modern scientific medicine doesn’t mean rejecting spirituality. As you’ll discover in Bella’s story, together they can be seen as most successful when viewed as harmonious.

Hi Bella! Thank you so much for your time. Please can you give my readers a quick introduction to you, where you live and what you do?

I’m Bella Luna, Spiritual Life Coach, Healer, Mystic and transformational facilitator. I support female spiritual seekers, who lack purpose and are disenchanted with the world around them. Together, I will guide them to find more meaning, clarity and purpose, by awakening their inner magick and helping them claim their full power.

I have five core values that create the foundation of my business – Spirituality, Humour, Authenticity, Depth and Exploration. I am a bit of a nomad and love to fly wherever the wind takes me. I am currently based in London, UK, but I can always be found in my Facebook Community

Describe yourself in 3 words:

Curious, playful and deep.

You aim to bring ‘meaning, mischief and magic’ into the world. What do these qualities mean to you? And how can it help heal the world?

Meaning, magic and mischief are the three key ingredients in my spell for a life worth living.

When we find meaning in ourselves, our lives and the world around us, it can deepen our passion for life and fuel us to create a better world for ourselves and the whole. The magic brings everything to life and is what turns the world into a mystical playground with wonders around every corner.

Learning to see the extraordinary in the ordinary allows us to view life through a brighter and more wondrous lens. When we embrace a sense of mischief and play, we embody our inner child, keeping things light and joyful. These characteristics inevitably help to raise our vibration and that of the planet around us.

As well as a mystic, you also consider yourself a scientist. This is so potent in these times where it often feels like the spiritual and scientific world should be seen as separate things. Can you talk more about this magical connection you see between science and spirituality?

For me, science and magic are two areas with a HUGE overlap. Within this overlap lies all the magic we have an explanation for, i.e. as soon as something becomes explainable, it typically goes from being magical to scientific.

But for me, the explanation has always made it far more magical. I am an intensely curious person, and when the inner workings of something are explained to me, it comes alive.

Again, it’s about seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary. At school, we are taught how rainbows are formed, and fortunately, this has not made them any less magical to us. No matter how many rainbows there are, people will always get excited, point them out, and stop what they’re doing.

While at University, I studied a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation. This was a wildly magical degree to pursue as it gave me some of the most incredible experiences of my entire life – pioneering a study of bats in the Amazon, shadowing gamekeepers in Africa and trekking through rainforests on the heels of jaguars. I challenge anyone to say these experiences were anything less than pure magic.

Studies such as quantum physics and metaphysics are further areas that combine elements of magic and science, both of which absolutely fascinate me and I hope to dive deeper into going forward.

What offerings or practices do you offer to help women become more empowered and embody the magic within and outside of themselves?

From Spiritual Life Coaching and Soul Plans, to Chakra Dancing and journeying with the Moon cycles, my transformational offerings are designed to support the journey from RADICAL Self-Love to Dharma Discovery, and all the magic in between.

For me, all the magic in my world stemmed from my journey of self-love, as without a deep sense of self-worth, nothing in my life meant anything.

Learning to love myself was what gave me the gift of confidence, drive and permission to follow my joy, discover who I was and create an aligned life, outside of societal constraints and mainstream ideology.

Every single offering I deliver, is infused with the practices, and lessons I learned through my personal struggles.

My current course curriculum offers the following:

«  RADICAL Self-Love: to deepen the most important relationship in your life – the one with yourself.

«  Awaken your Inner Mystic: to reconnect with your Higher Self, awaken your inner magick, and unlock your full potential.

«  Moon-Mentum: to harness the power of the Moon, attune with the rhythms of nature and boost you into a state of flow.

«  Chakra Bootcamp: to embody the qualities of the Chakras and re-align your body’s energy centres.

«  Ready, Release, RISE!: to let go of who you are, reclaim your full power and become who you were always destined to be.

«  Dharma Discovery: to align with destiny, embrace your most meaningful life possible, and be fulfilled in all aspects of your world.

What’s been the key for you in building community?

For me, the key to building community is complete and utter unapologetic authenticity and vulnerability.

When I started University, I learned there were some 40,000 students in the town I was moving to. I suddenly had this thought that if I was actually myself, fully and completely, there must be at least one person that would like me for me. And this one person ended up being a sacred mentor and best friend of mine. A woman who brought me home to myself and helped me remember the power I already held within.

Since then, the closest relationships I have built have all stemmed from being unapologetically 100% true to myself and being willing to be vulnerable. Authenticity and vulnerability are the birthplaces of soul connections and wild rides.

What experiences have most shaped your spiritual life the most?

In my early twenties, I survived an abusive relationship and this experience was what set me on the path I am currently on. When I finally left this abusive relationship, I had extremely low self-worth, was deeply lost and didn’t know who I was. It was through deep exploration of my internal and external worlds that took me down the path of self-love and discovering how to live a life aligned to my unique nature.

After leaving this relationship, it was how I imagine it to feel when being released from prison. I had no sense of personal identity and didn’t know how to make decisions for myself, because I hadn’t been allowed to for so long. Instead of allowing this to consume and overwhelm me, it made me go completely wild.

I tried EVERYTHING. I tried on different behaviours, different clothes, different music, foods, friends, hobbies, places, books, movies, personality characteristics, vices. I tried ALL the things. It was through this extreme journey of exploration that I discovered exactly who I was on every layer possible.

Before my abusive relationship I don’t think I ever even considered who I was, or what I was doing with my life. It sounds cliché, but I really had to lose myself completely to fully find myself.

What routines and rituals for the soul do you practise each day/on a regular basis that help you feel connected to both yourself and the magical world around you?

Solo yoga is my most solid practice that I return to daily no matter how I am feeling.

I practice meditation regularly, but if I am struggling with racing thoughts, it’s always yoga that centres me and calms my mind the most.

I keep a gratitude journal, which I write in first thing every morning and last thing every night. Gratitude is one of the most effective practices for increasing your vibrational frequencies and I cannot express how much of an impact it has had on my overall level of happiness and contentment.

Silence is another practice I seek often, as this helps to provide space for Divine connection and to allow inspiration, insight and wisdom to find me.

I love to follow the Moon cycles and I gain much from aligning with the natural rhythms of our Mother Earth.

Movement is another thing I practice on a daily basis, but I struggle with traditional exercise so this often comes in the form of dance and hula-hooping. I LOVE to dance, even if it’s just 15 minutes as I get dressed and start my day, other times it’s a 30-minute Chakra Dancing session.

Additionally, I find tapping and shaking to be very useful practices when I am up-leveling my energy, or have been sitting at my desk for extended periods of time.

Describe your perfect day:

I would have to say my perfect day would involve waking up in some sort of natural, temporary dwelling at some kind of hippy festival and being woken by a dog licking my face.

Starting my day with yoga and meditation in nature, and with a glorious view.

Being in community with like-hearted beings, outside in the fresh air and surrounded by trees.

Delivering workshops on self-love and Chakra Dancing, followed by ceremony and drum circles.

Frolicking through wildflower meadows, climbing trees, and swimming in natural water. Dancing under the stars, to high vibe music, with my tribe. Then snuggling into a cosy nest with my loved one by my side.

My blog is all about seeking whimsy, enchantment and wonder? How do these things show up for you?

I feel these words are very congruent with my 3 key words – meaning, magic and mischief. I see myself as an incredibly whimsical person (and I think a great deal of my close friends would agree with me!). I am forever dressing to please my inner 5-year-old – flowing skirts, fairy wings, tiaras and the like. Every day is dress-up day in my world! The words ‘enchantment’ and ‘wonder’ resonate deeply for me, and remind me of my previously used phrase ‘seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary’. I pride myself in being constantly enamoured with the world, the day I don’t stop for a rainbow or a butterfly is a sad day indeed!

Finally, Bella, what is your one wish for the world?

My one wish for the world is for everyone to realise that they are enough. They have always been enough and they will always BE enough. If I could bottle self-love and sprinkle it around the world, well that would be a truly magnificent super power.

♥♥♥♥♥♥

Thank you so much to Bella for this illuminating, raw, and nourishing conversation. I hope you all enjoyed devouring these topics as much as I did! What was most striking for you?

For me, it was so beautiful to reflect on how similar Bella and I see the world through our chosen words of ‘meaning, magic and mischief’ and my ‘whimsy, wonder and enchantment’. Together, they weave like a Symphony and only seek to demonstrate that life has intrinsic value and that every moment of this free wandering life is an enchantment in itself when it is fused with love, playfulness, curiosity, and cherishing each and every moment.

I also truly passionately believe that society can benefit from the integration of many of the topics discussed in this interview. In particular, a balance and a reverence for both spirituality and science weaving their magic together so magnificently.

I absolutely loved to hear about Bella’s background with both spirituality and science and how she chooses to embrace the brilliance and harmonious coexistence of both spirituality and science that, when in a dance with one another, only seek to reaffirm faith in human ingenuity, faith, and the sublime.

What did this conversation and wisdom spark within you? How will you infuse meaning, magic, and mischief into your day? How can you fuse this into your day or week ahead? And what are your views on the relationship between science and spirituality? I’d love to meet you in the comments for all your thoughts!

Inspirational Wisdom from Angels & Fairies by Frances Munro and Judy Mastrangelo Review

Inspirational Wisdom from Angels & Fairies by Frances Munro and Judy Mastrangelo Review

Today I invite you into a whirlpool of wonder with enchanted angels and fairies with this review of ‘Inspirational Wisdom from Angels & Fairies by Frances Munro and Judy Mastrangelo’.

I absolutely love oracle cards for their gentle way of showing me a message of hope or one that sparks some curiosity into my day.

This oracle deck features both whimsical angels and fairies to deliver their wisdom, healing energy and loving guidance.

Let’s see what messages they have for us today in both a review and collective reading!

Also, if you love the oracle card cloth I use in this post, it’s handmade by me and I have a tutorial on how to make it right here!

WHAT ARE ORACLE CARDS?

Firstly, if Oracle cards are new to you then let’s dive into their history.

Oracle cards are an ancient and reliable way to receive spiritual guidance and detailed insight, with the number of cards in a deck related to numerology.

The selection process is based on the ‘Law of Attraction’ that ensures that you’ll always choose the correct cards whose answer matches the vibration of the question.

From there, the process is very individual.

For me, I love to seek a peaceful backdrop, and as I read the words in the card description, I like to notice any thoughts, additional words, feelings, or visions that come to me. I tend to use Oracle cards at night and I keep a journal on my bedside to make any notes about cards I pick.

Oracle cards vary immensely in theme within the spiritual realm. For me, I’m particularly drawn to cards with angels, fairies and Unicorns. So this deck is perfect!

Collective Card Reading and Review

This enchanting deck features angels and fairies, but also elves, fauns, unicorns, flower children, lots of animals, flowers and many more dreamy elements from this whimsical realm.

As soon as I flicked through the cards, I was immediately spellbound!

The colours are also so harmoniously combined with each other. The back is a pretty lavender and decorated with a butterfly framed by flowers.

This deck contains 44 cards with a 57-page booklet. After the introduction, the booklet leads into a guide on how to work with the cards, with the meaning behind the cards.

Then a small section of the card is shown on each side, a text follows and at the end, there is either a prayer, an exercise or an affirmation. This is such a beautiful personal touch and really elevates the reading.

And so with that, here’s our collective reading.

Enjoy the magic of serenity. When you allow yourself to feel pulled by chaotic thoughts you can lose control. You cannot flourish when this happens so step back to a more purposeful and peaceful stance. Breathe deeply and gently. Summon your Autumn Angel and she will bring you serenity and restore calm round you.

This is such a gorgeous card because although we are entering into Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, we still find ourselves in lockdowns in most of the world.

In this way, we might find ourselves living outside of the rhythm of the seasons due to external things that we cannot control.

So what is the answer? To find stillness. To take notes from the restoration and restful energy of Autumn so that when we are all about to ‘bloom’ that we can.

What does this card symbolism for you? Do you find the Autumn Angel’s message a comforting one right now?

I am here to bring you the strength to break away from old habits and to form the new ones that allow you to grow. For you have allowed yourself to wither away in the shadows for too long. And you have not allowed your voice to be heard. I am here to clear the way for the angels and fairies to help you claim your glorious place in the world.

This card goes SO beautifully with the above!

Because with the paradox of it all: can we balance restoration and rest with the rebirth from the symbolism of Spring? I believe we can.

This card spoke to me deeply because there has been a part of me that has been fearful to come back into the external world because of how comforted I have been in my cocoon. Due to my deep introvertedness, this means I get very comfortable hiding away and keeping myself small.

If you can relate to this too, this beautiful card is a reminder that we are entering into a powerful timing of rebirth.

I mentioned in my latest Whimsy Wednesday (sign up below!) that we can imagine that we have been nesting in our own eggs and can trust that we can now hatch to meet our own journey of receptivity, renewal, and rebirth. What do you think?

Do you resonate with this card? Have you felt yourself hiding and cocooning? Are you ready to share your gifts and heart with the world?

You act as thought you cannot find the energy to do what is needed in life, and often it is only habit that is holding you back. You need to restore the faith in yourself to do the necessary things that will open the doors to real joy. You hapharzardly managed to avoid some pitfalls, but you cannot avoid them all without some planning. Generate faith in the Power that allows you to make better decisions and to realise that life is meant to be fun. You live with an all-enveloping fog around you, but if you open your mind and remove your barriers, everything will be clear.

This is such an interesting card! It truly complements the picks above, but it also brings a very different energy.

There’s a clear sense that whilst we must always devote our hours for rest and wandering that there’s also going to be a change of air with the new season.

This could mean that life picks up a bit of speed but perhaps this action is most likely welcome to some.

How do you feel about bringing in more aligned action? From bringing yourself out of the fog of lockdown? I’d love to hear how this resonates for you!

♥♥♥♥♥♥

This angel and fairies oracle card deck is a beautiful introduction into the mysical realm.

The words and imagery are soft, kind and welcoming. However, I wish that the images were more diversified. Kyle Gray is someone who truly gets this just right.

Here’s something else I want to be honest about: the box!

If you’re used to the popular Hay House Oracle cards you’ll notice quite a marked difference in the packaging. The box has two flaps on either end, like conventional playing cards, but I’ve found it very hard to store the cards neatly inside. Also, the cards themselves are not the same quality as I’m used to in other decks.

Nevertheless, the quotes are truly inspiring and the guidebook has a potent amount of explanation with a bonus affirmation or playful work that truly brings the message to life.

The Divine Feminine Oracle Deck by Meggan Watterson Review

The Divine Feminine Oracle Deck by Meggan Watterson Review

Today’s post is dedicated to seeking the wisdom and inspiration of the Divine Feminine with a review of the Divine Feminine Oracle Deck by Meggan Patterson.

To start this review, I wanted to outline what exactly the Divine Feminine is.

This article by The Good Trade holds a powerful description:

The divine feminine is the spiritual concept that there exists a feminine counterpart to the patriarchal and masculine worship structures that have long dominated organized religions. The concept is not that “men and women” are opposites, but that there exist complementary energies within each being that can be represented by various symbols and figures. But the false “gender binary” has evolved into a tool for division and many colonial approaches to gender have routinely devalued the feminine in indigenous belief systems and matrilineal societies.”

The Good Trade Source

One way that I discovered the powerful, enriching journey of meeting the Divine Feminine within was to step into my priestesshood. You can read all about my experience of this in a post dedicated to this journey here.

If this topic is new to you, I truly think that The Divine Feminine Oracle Deck by Meggan Watterson is a deeply illuminating tool that can be an invitation to reconnect with the sacred feminine that exists within us all.

Here is a powerful overview of this gorgeous oracle card deck:

“In this exquisite oracle deck, scholar, speaker, and author Meggan Watterson has gathered together the saints, mystics, gurus, and goddesses from the world religions who represent both divine beings and the human women who sought to embody them. Each of these sacred ladies, when called upon, can strengthen your capacity to hear your soul. From the unyielding love of Mary Magdalene to the transformational force of the goddess Kali, you will discover the expansive qualities of the divine feminine without you, so that you can embody with ease and levity the love that you already are.”

Visually, the Divine Feminine oracle deck is quite possibly one of the most luxurious that I own.

The striking and captivating bold red shade oozes sensuality, love, joy and power, and this is truly everything that is weaved into this deck.

With a jewel red and gold back, the cards are silky matt soft and yet extremely sturdy. Using them truly feels like an incredibly sacred and special occasion.

On the front of each card, Meggan pays homage to a diverse pantheon of Goddesses and Priestesses. Each as inspiring and magnificent as the next!

The two cards I have pulled today for this post are so beautifully powerful.

The first is Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess of wealth and good fortune. One I have been studying for many months now and whose abundant energy has been so powerful to embody.

Our second card is Our Lady of Guadalupe, who holds a special place in the religious life of Mexico and is one of the most popular religious devotions. Her image has played an important role as a national symbol of Mexico.

Learning about this Goddess was so incredibly illuminating, and the enclosed booklet for The Divine Feminine Oracle is one part history book and the other half full of practical embodied wisdom. It’s unlike anything I have seen in an oracle card deck to date, and beyond recommended for those who love to dig deep into our history and sacred soil as much as I do.

However, in saying this, I find I connect to this deck in a very different way to the other oracle card decks in my collections.

Ultimately, I find this deck a call to arms for my own inner transformation and learning over immediate answers to anything I am seeking.

This deck truly emphasises just how much beauty can be found in being a Priestess during these modern times. However, if I seek immediate comfort this isn’t a deck I would turn to as it deserves time to truly absorb and read about the wisdom each card contains.

I truly believe that the lessons of the Divine Feminine can bring a sacred presence into our planet that is coupled with the return of centuries-old sacred wisdom that can help to guide us into a New Era on Earth.

Moreover, this moment in history feels like we are finding the healing power of nurturing the feminine within us all.

For finding our inner Divine Feminine can show us all how to move emotions. How to listen. How to flow. By opening up this portal and space for the feminine to rise we can truly find so much power in the softening, sensuality, slowness and grace that lives within the feminine.

To explore it all, The Divine Feminine Oracle Card deck is a truly powerful, deeply inspiring way to start.

Dreamy Moons 2021 ‘Year of Growth’ Review and My Intentions for 2021

Dreamy Moons 2021 ‘Year of Growth’ Review and My Intentions for 2021

In searching for a new journal for 2021, as with 2020, I decided to purchase a workbook that would allow for a balance of reflection and creativity. For 2021, that led me to the 2021 Year Of Growth Book by Annie Tarasova that she created for her stunning brand Dreamy Moons.

For 2020 I have found such a sanctuary of peace and deepest creative introspection within the pages of the 2020 Artist Of Life Workbook by Lavendaire.

Journaling is one of my most sacred rituals. It never ceases to amaze me how my inner wisdom will always pour onto the page in front of me.

As I allow words to fill the page in front of me, I find it not only completely clarifying to write, but in re-reading my words, I find that I can truly meet the inner-soul of my mind and heart.

The 2021 Year Of Growth Book is a deeply luxurious, opulent and heavy journal/book that is perfect to have on your bedside table or desk for these powerful, dreamy inner-soul observations.

Not only that, but it will most certainly be a journal that you will want to have as a keepsake to look back on years in the future.

Let’s look inside together, as well as sinking into some intentions for 2021.

A Look Inside a Year Of Growth

If the cover wasn’t enchanting enough, then behold the interior of this breathtaking journal!

But before I do show you, here’s what creator Annie Tarasova has said about her gorgeous journal on Instagram that I’d love to share with you:

Say hello to my NEW 2021 Year of Growth Book – a diary with a focus on mindfulness, gratitude, intention setting, self-reflection, creativity and personal growth!

This baby is made for the dreamers, writers and creatives. For those who want to dive deeper into their own minds and become the best version of themselves.

Think of this book as a time capsule of who you are at this moment a time. A keepsake to look back on years in the future.”

And indeed: this journal so beautifully combines the ability to bring cosmic guidance to you to help you dream, whilst also lacing this alongside potent personal empowerment prompts and all held together so beautifully by the moon.

I love how this journal has crossovers with my dear Lavendaire journal, in the sense of honouring the importance and magic of the cosmos. However, for me, the 2021 Year Of Growth Book takes the mysticism and ethereal elements even further.

My Intentions for 2021

When you stargaze tonight, or look to ahead into the new day or year ahead of you, it’s worth highlighting the timeless words of Eleanor Roosevelt who once said: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

I’ve never been a fan of resolutions, however, soul-led intentions are very much the GPS for my mind, body and spirit!

Having said that, in these uncertain times, when nothing feels like it is going to plan, and so much is outside of our control, it can be really hard to have faith in our dreams.

However, intentions, and the alchemy and mystery involved with setting them, are fertile earth for my soul’s home to dream in no matter what is happening.

Moreover, with my health, it can be hard to ‘think big’. And whilst I might not be able to do everything I set my soul and heart to, my intentions can lead me somewhere. And given the choice between nowhere or somewhere, I always want to take the road towards somewhere.

Ultimately, intentions allow me to imagine a moment in the now and in the future in which I can still birth my miracles and where I can still bring some goodness and magic to the world. Despite it being in such pain.

Having a resource like the 2021 Year Of Growth Book makes the alchemy of creative intention setting far more ethereal and enchanting.

Feeling into the prompts in this workbook empowers me so deeply simply for the fact that by merging my creative mind, soul and heart together, I am able to hear my intuition far more consistently. In doing so, I am able to understand it more clearly and act upon it with more joy and abundance.

So what are my intentions for 2021? In all honesty, it’s been extremely beneficial for me to bathe deeply in the present moment as the end of 2020 dawned. Just being. That’s been exponentially healing and magnificent after merciless introspection throughout my life!

But 2020 absolutely felt into a strong theme for me. That of watery spaciousness. The ebb and flow of life. I wrote about this in more depth in my birthday letter from November that you can read here.

‘Flow’ has felt like a natural intention for me for 2021; simply because of how unpredictable this year has become. Moreover, my dear friend Leneth from The Spiritual Fem chose this as her 2020 word of the year, and later led a stunning online retreat with the same word.

If all of these weren’t signs enough, I spent my first few months of 2020 surrounded by water and I most definitely felt charged and nourished by its life-giving force.

My greatest intention for 2021, therefore, is to drink up the medicine that flow symbolises. And with it, I will look to it to nourish, restore, recalibrate and awaken my mind, body and soul in all the ways I need it to.

So to you at the end of 2020 or reading this in 2021: you are so deeply in my heart. If you feel called to, I’d love to know how you are feeling right now?

I’m so excited to have the 2021 Year Of Growth Book in my life and for the opportunity for the reflection it will give me every single day to step into my own magical inner world even more deeply.

How will you be documenting your intentions, dreams, thoughts and desires this year? Also, how many of you love Dreamy Moons as much as me? Do any of already own this gorgeous journal? I’d love to hear about your musings on these questions in the comments below.

Before I close this post, I just want to thank you so deeply for all your love and friendship in 2020. I am beyond grateful to you. It’s such an honour to have your time and presence here. Thank you so much for being here and walking alongside me.

May your 2021 bring you all the magic, whimsy and enchantment that you already have within you. I hope in turn that these magical elements can rebirth you and sustain you through these times. And may you share it with the world and shine your light evermore brightly (ps Taylor Swift in the words of ABBA: “thank you for the music”).

How To Make a Tarot, Altar or Oracle Card Divination Cloth Mat for Spiritual Readings

How To Make a Tarot, Altar or Oracle Card Divination Cloth Mat for Spiritual Readings

Today, I’m bringing you a beautiful, easy tutorial for how to make your own altar, Tarot, Oracle Card and divination cloth mats for your spiritual readings and rituals.

As many of you know, I am totally besotted with Oracle cards, and they are one of the richest sources of seeking everyday whimsy for me.

These gorgeous Oracle, Tarot and Altar cloths would make the most exquisite gift for your loved ones this Christmas, and of course for yourself!

What is a Divination Cloth?

Firstly, what is a divination cloth and how can they be used alongside Oracle and Tarot card readings?

A divination cloth is truly whatever feels most sacred to you. You can use it to display sacred items in your home, on your altar, for your card readings, or even as a wall hanging.

They are truly gorgeous to help you give readings of love for yourself and for others, and overall just enhance this sacred moment you are taking for your reading.

Ultimately, for me, taking time for a daily Oracle reading is an important ritual in my day, so to have a dedicated cloth to perform your reading on makes it even more special.

How to Make an Altar, Tarot and Oracle Card Cloth for Spiritual Readings

Let’s get started with how to make your very own divination cloth that you can customise for your exact needs.

If you’re looking for some inspiration before you start, typically divination cloths are made from luxurious materials such as velvet, satins and silks.

In my tutorial, I have used a gorgeous enchanted fairytale fabric and matched it with a silky baby pink. To finish, I’ve added a glittery ribbon.

What colours or patterns resonate for you? You can think about what fabric feels particularly gorgeous for you.

Another beautiful touch is to research the spiritual significance of certain colours. All of this will truly add that extra magical dimension to your sacred piece.

For more inspiration, you can see what other fabrics I have used below. What stands out for you?

How To Use an Altar, Tarot or Oracle Card Cloth

Hopefully you now have your finished divination cloth and you’re ready to use it! If not, enjoy finding inspiration for when your cloth is ready to be used.

And now it is made, or nearly finished, how do you use a divination cloth?

Well, there are many ways to do so as explained above. From your altar, to a wall hanging, to so much more.

In terms of readings, using Tarot or Oracle decks, this can be a perfect use for your divination cloth, that’s beautiful to utilise for yourself and for others.

However whatever the aim, you can be sure that you will find and illuminate clarity and wisdom directly related to yourself/recipient’s unique energy and personal circumstances from using this handmade cloth.

For a reading, you can take advantage of the space of a divination cloth by creating grids for even 7 cards or more. Alternatively, you can stick to the typical 3 card spread reading normally broken into the past, present and future.

I also adore to use crystals and other spiritual items on my cloth such as essential oils and my pendulum. What feels good, and needed, for you to add to your ritual?

In case you’re wondering what cards I am using, this is the gorgeous Oracle Cards Inspirational Wisdom From The Angels And Fairies deck I will be reviewing very soon!

I hope you enjoyed learning how to make this divination cloth that is perfect for altar, Tarot, oracle cards and so much more!

In combination with my Oracle Card deck of choice, this truly lifts and illuminates my spiritual readings in particular. I hope it can do the same for you!

How many of you use and love divination cloths, tarot and oracle decks? If so, what deck is your favourite? I’d love for you to share your favourites in the comment below!

As for my favourite decks, you can find some of the Oracle Cards that I have reviewed to date in the link below.
