Egypt is one of the most fascinating countries on the planet. With a history that spans back for thousands of years, you will be in wonder of the feats of some of the ancient civilizations.

With lots of incredible history to explore, you may find it hard to decide where even to start.

With idyllic beaches and bustling towns and cities with fascinating shops and market places, you will find that Egypt is not a place that was significant in years gone by.

Take A Guided Tour

Egypt is a vast country, and you may find the difference in language and culture overwhelming at times. It can be hard to navigate a new place, and it is essential that you feel confident and relaxed to enjoy your time in this fantastic country.

One option that you may want to explore is to take in one of the many Egypt tours that are on offer. These will allow you to explore a number of locations around the country, as well as cruising the Nile. This is a great option as it means you will get introduced to so much helpful information which will enrich your visit.

The Valley Of The Kings

No trip to Egypt would ever be complete without a trip to the Valley of the Kings. This royal burial ground was in use from around 2000 BC but really came into prominence for about 400 years from around 1550 BC onwards. During this time, 63 tombs were excavated. Some of these tombs were simple. However, tomb KV5, which belonged to the sones of Ramasus the second, has a total of 120 separate chambers.

You will find a wealth of artifacts and wall paintings that really let you get a feel of how important these tombs were.

The Great Temple Of Ramasus The Second

This temple has been preserved by the desert sand and is over three thousand years old. Built in honor of Ramasus the second, it was carved out of the side of a mountain. Adorned by giant statues of Pharaohs, the temple looks over the west bank of the Nile.

The Pyramids Of Giza

One of the main reasons that people want to visit Egypt is to see the only remaining wonder of the ancient world. The pyramids were built around 4000 years ago and are a thing of marvel. While the storybooks may have us believe that they were built by slaves, the truth was that they were more than likely built by farmers during the flood seasons when they could not farm. This mass mobilization showed just how organized this ancient civilization really was.

Cairo

Cairo is a bustling city with lots to see and do. One thing that is unmissable, though, is the Egyptian Museum. Home to many of Tutankhamun’s relics and treasures, the museum boasts more than 100,000 different pieces. The museum’s collection has outgrown its size, though, as so many items have been unearthed since it opened.
