Today’s post is dedicated to seeking the wisdom and inspiration of the Divine Feminine with a review of the Divine Feminine Oracle Deck by Meggan Patterson.
To start this review, I wanted to outline what exactly the Divine Feminine is.
This article by The Good Trade holds a powerful description:
The divine feminine is the spiritual concept that there exists a feminine counterpart to the patriarchal and masculine worship structures that have long dominated organized religions. The concept is not that “men and women” are opposites, but that there exist complementary energies within each being that can be represented by various symbols and figures. But the false “gender binary” has evolved into a tool for division and many colonial approaches to gender have routinely devalued the feminine in indigenous belief systems and matrilineal societies.”The Good Trade Source
One way that I discovered the powerful, enriching journey of meeting the Divine Feminine within was to step into my priestesshood. You can read all about my experience of this in a post dedicated to this journey here.
If this topic is new to you, I truly think that The Divine Feminine Oracle Deck by Meggan Watterson is a deeply illuminating tool that can be an invitation to reconnect with the sacred feminine that exists within us all.
Here is a powerful overview of this gorgeous oracle card deck:
“In this exquisite oracle deck, scholar, speaker, and author Meggan Watterson has gathered together the saints, mystics, gurus, and goddesses from the world religions who represent both divine beings and the human women who sought to embody them. Each of these sacred ladies, when called upon, can strengthen your capacity to hear your soul. From the unyielding love of Mary Magdalene to the transformational force of the goddess Kali, you will discover the expansive qualities of the divine feminine without you, so that you can embody with ease and levity the love that you already are.”
Visually, the Divine Feminine oracle deck is quite possibly one of the most luxurious that I own.
The striking and captivating bold red shade oozes sensuality, love, joy and power, and this is truly everything that is weaved into this deck.
With a jewel red and gold back, the cards are silky matt soft and yet extremely sturdy. Using them truly feels like an incredibly sacred and special occasion.
On the front of each card, Meggan pays homage to a diverse pantheon of Goddesses and Priestesses. Each as inspiring and magnificent as the next!
The two cards I have pulled today for this post are so beautifully powerful.
The first is Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess of wealth and good fortune. One I have been studying for many months now and whose abundant energy has been so powerful to embody.
Our second card is Our Lady of Guadalupe, who holds a special place in the religious life of Mexico and is one of the most popular religious devotions. Her image has played an important role as a national symbol of Mexico.
Learning about this Goddess was so incredibly illuminating, and the enclosed booklet for The Divine Feminine Oracle is one part history book and the other half full of practical embodied wisdom. It’s unlike anything I have seen in an oracle card deck to date, and beyond recommended for those who love to dig deep into our history and sacred soil as much as I do.
However, in saying this, I find I connect to this deck in a very different way to the other oracle card decks in my collections.
Ultimately, I find this deck a call to arms for my own inner transformation and learning over immediate answers to anything I am seeking.
This deck truly emphasises just how much beauty can be found in being a Priestess during these modern times. However, if I seek immediate comfort this isn’t a deck I would turn to as it deserves time to truly absorb and read about the wisdom each card contains.
I truly believe that the lessons of the Divine Feminine can bring a sacred presence into our planet that is coupled with the return of centuries-old sacred wisdom that can help to guide us into a New Era on Earth.
Moreover, this moment in history feels like we are finding the healing power of nurturing the feminine within us all.
For finding our inner Divine Feminine can show us all how to move emotions. How to listen. How to flow. By opening up this portal and space for the feminine to rise we can truly find so much power in the softening, sensuality, slowness and grace that lives within the feminine.
To explore it all, The Divine Feminine Oracle Card deck is a truly powerful, deeply inspiring way to start.
