As it’s November now and the festive season does draw closer, I wanted to bring back a feature from the past called ‘Shop a Handmade Christmas’. This gift guide will feature some of my favourite crafters, indie sellers and artisans to spread the message far and wide just how special and important handmade is.
After having Beauxoxo for years I know only too well how important it is to support handmade artists. I also know only too well how important it is to order handmade creations as early as possible because sellers work so hard throughout the season to get orders delivered for Christmas.
Cristina is a truly beautiful soul who I had the pleasure of meeting at University where we studied art history together.
I’m so happy we have managed to keep in touch so I could witness her start this stunning jewellery collection. Cristina also creates breathtaking photography here.
Over at Athina Designs on Etsy Cristina designs and creates modern, eye-catching jewellery from polymer clay. Polymer clay creates such stylish jewellery designs that will accent your wardrobe and each piece is as unique as you.
Polymer clay also has so many special qualities. Firstly, it is incredibly lightweight so you will barely even feel like you’re wearing it!
Secondly, it’s also a very eco-friendly component as sellers such as Cristina utilise every single part of the clay. Cristina takes this one step further with recycled packaging so it’s a truly thoughtful gift to give.
It’s also incredibly diverse in look. Cristina’s earrings consist of elements such as mica shift and added geometric detail. Some earrings even have a shimmer effect for a wintery feel.
Whether you are looking for a treat for yourself or your loved ones, I’m certain you’ll find plenty of things to add to your wishlist from Cristina’s collection.
I’d love to know some of your favourite places to buy beautiful handmade gifts. Please do let me know where you’ll be shopping this Christmas!
