I’m gradually making my way around the world (well, Europe for now) documenting my favourite cafe and eateries I stumble across. Today it’s back to Amsterdam to feature Ree7, a unique cafe located in the famous Nine Streets (De Negen Straatjes) one of my favourite parts of Amsterdam that is nearby to trendy Jordaan.
The Ree7 menu is full of delicious dishes from sandwiches to salads and soups and is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. At this particular time, I popped in for a fresh ginger tea on the way to meet friends and was greeted by the sweetest company of Pablo the resident cat! Isn’t he adorable? I love that Amsterdam is home to so many friendly cats that can often be found in the cosy shops and cafes in this part of the city.
The menu is a mix of Pluk but with a Dutch twist with home-made apple pie and carrot cake that will always await you. And for some serious celebrating they have a great selection of wines, cava and beer, if that’s how you like to lunch too! The dairy-free options aren’t so good as say Pluk however they still have good options. They are particularly famous for their epic milkshakes that are pretty Insta famous!
Ree7 is such a fun spot that is right in the centre of the dreamiest part of the city. This is a place you could take your favourite book to, catch up on work or gather your friends together for the most gezellig (Dutch for cosy) of gatherings.
Have you been to Ree7? Let me know if you’re also a fan! And also please do share any of your favourite cafes in The Netherlands- it’s always lovely to try new spots! Also, I’m intrigued, do I have any readers from The Netherlands? If so, that would be so special to me!
Address: Ree7, Reestraat 7, 1016 DM Amsterdam, The Netherlands
